Arbor Circle-Outpatient Counseling Center

Arbor Circle’s outpatient counseling services include culturally and developmentally appropriate assessments, treatment planning, individual, family and group services for an array of mental health concerns. These include but are not limited to depression, anxiety, substance use, anger, grief and loss, family relationship and parenting issues, school issues, abuse, and trauma.

This is an anti-bullying initiative created to spread awareness of the issues that are brought on by bullying.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big sisters is a mentorship program that serves in many areas around the country. Mentors work with youth ages 6-18 in many locations in schools and throughout the community.

Boys and Girls Club

The Boys and Girls Club is a national organization that serves youth in a variety of areas such as education and career programs, character and leadership, health and life skills, the arts, sports, fitness and recreation and many other specialized programs.

Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts is a national organization for boys that train them in values such as teamwork, responsibility, and the great outdoors.

Camp Blodgett

Camp Blodgett provides year-round programs for youth.

Summer Camp: Youth ages 8-13 are welcome.

Summer Academy: A fun learning experience for 5th-8th-grade youth to combat summer learning loss.

Young Leaders: Youth ages 14 -18 learn the skills it takes to become leaders as well as attend monthly meetings and an annual retreat.

Camp Blodgett Clubs: An after school club for children 2^nd grade through middle school.

Camp Fire USA

A place where youth can figure out who they are and become leaders through programs such as before and after school clubs, leadership experiences for teens, summer camps, and outdoor education.

Community Family Partnership

Community Family Partnership works with parents, caregivers, and youth to provide support services for youth interested in improving mental health, special education, parent resources, cultural responsiveness, juvenile justice, and child welfare.

Family Futures – RAVE

RAVE (RESOURCES AGAINST VIOLENT ENCOUNTERS)

According to the Grand Rapids 2008 Youth Survey, the issues affecting teens were: pressure to have sex, concerns about sexual harassment, teen pregnancy, school violence, and sexually transmitted infections. Teens may not always recognize the risks that come with relationships. RAVE uses the Safe Dates model. Highly engaging and interactive, Safe Dates helps teens recognize the difference between caring, supportive relationships and controlling, manipulative, or abusive dating relationships. The end result? Teens gain the skills needed for healthier relationships. RAVE is free to schools, offering after-school and summer programs serving middle and high-school students in Kent County.

Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore-to-Shore

Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore (GSMISTS) provides a girl-centered, fun-filled, quality leadership experience in partnership with mentoring adults that meets the needs of girls in a fast-changing world and ensures a lifelong connection with Girl Scouting. Partnered with community and infused with the principles of inclusion and diversity, GSMISTS is vital and strong, and is the premier organization for girls.
